Children’s and Youth Musical: June 16 - 22 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This year we’ve extended the Summer Musical days to include more activities! Anyone who has completed 1^st – 8^th grade is invited to participate. You don’t have to sing to be a part of this musical. There are also jobs like costuming and set construction that’ll keep you busy all week.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) : Note the Date change to July 7 - 11 (half day and full day options from 9 – 3:30 p.m.)
 It’s time to discover Jesus’ Miraculous Power through Group’s POWER LAB VBS!!! Kids will crack the formula of God’s Word as they visit different Lab Stations featuring Bible learning activities each day. This year’s Lab Stations include Sonic Sing & Play, Bible Blast, Cinema Science, Spotlight Drama, Hyperspeed Games, Test Tube Treats, Wacky Works Crafts, and Faith Fusion Finales!

Power Lab VBS runs from 9 a.m. – 12 every day for children 3 years old by 9/1/07 through entering 5^th grade and it costs $15* per child. Following VBS there is an All Day VBS Program for called Fizz Kidz for children that are entering 1^st – 5^th grade. Fizz Kidz costs $50* per child and runs from 12 – 3:30 p.m. daily.

Family Camp at WAPO: July 25 – 27
Everyone is invited to go to Wapogasset Bible Camp for a night or two this summer for Family Camp! We can stay from Friday evening at 7 p.m. until Sunday afternoon. Activities will include frisbee golf, soccer,  basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, and canoeing. We’ll also have campfires, worship, Bible studies, crafts, and games for everyone.    

The cost of the weekend will depend on how long you’d like to stay at camp. The maximum price per family is $250.

Pick up a WAPO brochure at either the Children’s and Family Ministry Table or the Youth Ministry Table and also a Family Registration form.  A $75 non-refundable deposit is due for each participating family by Sunday, April 27^th.

Pioneer Camp at – 2^nd grade): June 29 – July 1 (Please register by April 15^th)
Children’s Camp at (4^th – 6^th grade): July 13 – 18 (Please register by April 15^th)
Pioneer Camp at – 3^rd grade): August 10 – 12 (Please register by April 15^th)
I wanna go to where they’re glad to see ya! I spent a few weeks at Onomia and I loved this camp! Everyone will have fun playing outside, making crafts, swimming and boating, going to campfires and worship, and also learning Bible stories from cool counselors and staff.

Honestly all of the Bible Camps I’ve worked at or attended retreats at have been awesome experiences! After my camp counseling days were done I missed being at camp and I think all of the kids that go to Onomia will love it and want to go back again next summer too. If we have a few kids that go to Bible camp this year I’ll try to visit and maybe we can organize a carpool!  ~ Rachelle

Awesome August: August 11 - 15 and August 18 – 22
The Awesome August Directors are starting to plan for this fun day camp experience! Kids will enjoy crafts, games, music, movies, field trips, and more. This year we’ll be including some Bible stories and prayers as a part of these awesome days too! This will be a great way to share our faith with our friends that join us from the neighborhood and the Bloomington community.

More information on Awesome August will be available in our summer newsletters! This is a drop-in program that is free to anyone that wants to participate with the exception of small fees on field trip days.  Volunteers are needed for this program as well! Contact Rachelle in the church office if you’d like more information about volunteering for Awesome August.
