Our Key Bible Verses

Our Reconciling in Christ Welcome Statement

Inspired by the Progressive Pride Flag design, these updates to the RIC logo include the colors blue, pink, and white to represent our transgender siblings, as well as a black and brown stripe, to represent the fullness of our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Community brings to the queer community. This logo is used by RIC Partners to better communicate their commitment to the work of welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy of God's Beloveds.

We the people of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Bloomington, MN believe that Jesus taught and exemplified a life of love, and so we seek to be loving in all of our relationships.

We invite all people - inclusive of age, race, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, family structure, ability or disability - into the sacred spaces of our faith community as welcome and full participants; including as volunteers, elected congregational leaders, staff, and rostered ministers.

We affirm the sacredness of people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

We affirm the sacredness of all those who have experienced exclusion because of race, ability, age, religion, or culture.

We affirm the sacredness of those who wrestle with addiction, physical or mental health, imprisonment, socio economic circumstances, past religious trauma, doubts and questions, or anything that too often divides us.

As we commit to welcoming and celebrating the sacredness of all people, we also strive to make antiracist choices and work toward racial equity by dismantling all forms of systemic sin and oppression in our faith community, in our nation, and in our world, by better aligning our words and actions to the hopes and teachings of Jesus.
