So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16

Life is filled with expected and unexpected twists and turns. One of the challenges of this life is that we lose strength and slow down. Maybe even as we think, in many ways, as we always have, the passing of time takes its toll on our bodies, and our thinking does slow.

Today’s verses remind us that no matter what, God has a plan for each one of us and that we remain among his precious children. We may not realize God’s purpose for us, especially during times of declining abilities; however, God is there renewing our inner natures day by day.

Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Thank you for strengthening and guiding us no matter what. You have given us the assurance that you have a purpose for each one of us and for all people. Thanks be to God! Amen.
