Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51:2
 
Jesus said, "There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." Luke 15:7
 
It is amazing that each one of us can be reason for joy in heaven. We can hardly imagine how many have repented and come back to God's fold in time immemorial. Even so, we are promised by Jesus own words that there is joy in heaven over each person who repents. This promise assures us that we are a source for joy in the community of the forgiven. This is even more amazing when we consider that each person cannot even be aware of some of the sins he or she commits. What a wonderful source of hope this is in the heart of each one of us who walks in the assurance of God's grace. Being one of his beloved children is a wonder each day of our lives.
 
Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Thank you, Lord, that each one of us can be a reason for joy in heaven. We have needs to repent. Help each one of us to turn to you in repentance, and to be a continuing member of the forgiven. Amen.
