All we like sheep have gone astray; we have all turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
Christ himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. 1 Peter 2:24
We have just celebrated Easter. Hallelujah! Because Christ died and rose again to be the sacrifice for the sins of all who believe, we are, without doubt, the most fortunate of all. We live this life knowing that Christ's sacrifice promises each one of us a home in Heaven to live in his kingdom throughout eternity.
Jesus keeps watch over us and gives us strength through the Holy Spirit to live our lives in obedience to the will of God. Sometimes we stray, but we know that Jesus is our shepherd watching over us. He provides for all of our needs even when we lose our way. He helps us to hear his voice and come back to his loving arms. Easter. a celebration indeed. Praise the Lord!
Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
We praise you for your incomprehensible sacrifice which freed us from death's finality. What love the Father had for we, his children, that he would sacrifice his only begotten son in such a way. The blessing of knowing that each of us who believes is promised eternal life is a never ending promise that God's grace is ours. Hallelujah! Amen.
