Bloomington Pride

Many of you will remember our participation in Bloomington Pride last year. We wore our t-shirts that said “This Lutheran Loves You” on the front, and had a Pride flag and our church name on the back. We walked around, got a group picture taken, and enjoyed the Pride festival. This year we, along with three other Bloomington Lutheran churches are sharing a booth. Our partners are St. Stephen, Transfiguration who are both RIC churches, and Community of the Cross, in the process of becoming an RIC church. We will be a sponsor under the group name “Bloomington Lutherans for Love”.

At the booth we will have a banner, a four-part sign with each church’s name on it, information on what an RIC church is as well as some info on pertinent Bible verses, a photo booth, temporary tattoos for kids and rainbow-colored candy among other give-aways. CTK will supply bookmarks with our contact information on them.

There will be some help needed at the booth, (if you want to help sign-up here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4EA9AB2FA7FAC25-50620657-2024#/ ) and of course lots of us showing up at Pride wearing our t-shirts. We can check into getting some more t-shirts if you didn’t get one last year. Pride is fun with lots of activities, community group booths, food trucks and entertainment. See you all there.
